T34/85 WW2 Main Russian
battle tank
I know, you don't
often find these and its still just available.
The
predecessor T34-76 although was a sturdy beast lacked
clout. And, during 1943, the Russians managed to capture
a Tiger 1 tank. Looking at the design, the Russians
redesigned the T34. One of the little changes they made
was adding a massive 85mm gun to stop shells bouncing off German
armour.
T34's
are relatively crude tanks, with a metal clutch. This
can take a bit of getting used to. But I say 'simple is good',
anyone with some mechanical knowledge can maintain these.
Yes, some jobs are difficult to get to. But that's all
part of the fun of owning a tank.
With
some basic engineering knowledge this is certainly restorable.
After some 50 years, located in a town square its available.
This
one is located in Czech, so if interested please talk
