VT34 WW2 Recovery
tank. The
predecessor T34-76 although was a sturdy beast lacked
clout. And, during 1943, the Russians managed to capture
a Tiger 1 tank. Looking at the design, the Russians
redesigned the T34. One of the little changes they made
was adding a massive 85mm gun to stop shells bouncing off German
armour.
T34's
are relatively crude tanks, with a metal clutch. This
can take a bit of getting used to. But I say 'simple is good',
anyone with some mechanical knowledge can maintain these.
Yes, some jobs are difficult to get to. But that's all
part of the fun of owning a tank.
The
VT-34 has basically the same running gear and hull as
its brother T34. Except instead of a turret there is
one massive winch like you probably have never seen
in your life. If you along weigh this massive real and
cable in, you will get quite a substantial amount back.
