T34/85 WW2 Main Russian
battle tank
Sorry sold. Remember
a third of units don't even get advertised.
The
predecessor T34-76 although was a sturdy beast lacked
clout. And, during 1943, the Russians managed to capture
a Tiger 1 tank. Looking at the design, the Russians
redesigned the T34. One of the little changes they made
was adding a massive 85mm gun to stop shells bouncing off German
armour.
T34's
are relatively crude tanks, with a metal clutch. This
can take a bit of getting used to. But I say 'simple is good',
anyone with some mechanical knowledge can maintain these.
Yes, some jobs are difficult to get to. But that's all
part of the fun of owning a tank.
What
you see is what you get. Both are available. But are
in need of restoration. Both are in the same location
in Slovakia and, have been there for a considerable
amount of time. The second T34 is a engineering unit
and kind of reminds me of a cartoon character. Sorry
at present there is no film. This will be added shortly.
This
one is at our yard awaiting, export to U.S. Its amongst
a shipment to the U.S.
The T34/85 is now sold please
watch the film of it being loaded. These are lovely
tanks to drive, nice and simply. As long as you have
arm mussles like pop-eye. They are great fun, and that
V12 roar. Just makes you hairs stand on end.
