BRDM-2 Pre-Sale Inspection |

Hello, and welcome to Russianmilitary.
Have a watch and enjoy the latest pre-sale inspection being undertaken on one of the BRDM's delivered recently.
Military vehicle pre-sale inspection is 'bread and butter' for us and is carried out on every vehicle unless our customer instructs otherwise. Its easy to buy a good looking vehicle, the painting is the easy part! Getting a vehicle that looks good and that is in top mechanical condition is another matter. When you buy from us you can rest assured, your vehicle will be in good mechanical order and that way you will get the most enjoyment from your purchase. Everything is checked through, manuals provided (in english where possible). All controls are translated into English and full training given, included in the price.
It is often very helpful for customers to view the work carried out on their vehicle through our blogs, especially if they are based overseas.
This section will take the form of a variety of a photos, informative short films (and of course our own ramblings) all designed to document the work that has been undertaken.

You can see from these empty floor wells that the complete steering system has been removed; the stering box, column and all linkages (there is a fair bit of play in the linkages).
All parts will be inspected, cleaned, repaired or replaced as necessary. |

Our Engineer inspecting the fuel system and fitting a new fuel pump, which is standard with all inspections. The common fault with all military vehicles is they usual stand around for considerable periods of time. Fuel pumps dry out and diaphragms stiffen, we change or overhaul every pump every time. |

Its very unusual to drive a unit off, its even rarer to drive both units off the transporter. Our engineers are taking initial inspection and starting the maintenance schedule. |
