Are these vehicles anything like the Russian cars?
No. In a word. They are definitely not like their cars. During the cold war the Russians spent vast amounts of there GDP on military expenditure. You have to remember the russian army was a mainly conscript. And Russia being so huge with a poor road network, relied heavily on its military vehicles. Absolutely everything came second place to there vehicles, and that included the cars.
